As our topic is the Scottish Wars of Independence we performed some Scottish songs and dances at the Easter Showcase.

We sang Flower of Scotland and Scotland the Brave. 

8 of the girls danced a Virginia Reel and some other girls played Loch Lomond on their violins.

Just before the holidays we had an Easter disco. Leanne took some great pictures.

On Monday the whole school got to  plant a tree.We had to bring a pound to plant a tree.It was FUN! Calum took these great pictures and we made them into a video using Animoto.

The theme for Red Nosed day this year was – Do something Funny for Money!

We had a pyjama day. Here are some of our funny photos! 

We were really lucky to get a visit from Scott. He works with Clanranald and knows LOADS about the Scottish Wars of Independence!

We got the chance to dress up, look at weapons, use weapons and also hear lots of interesting facts about the Scottish Wars of Independence.

Hazel and Nicole were at a Boccia competition  on Friday. Nicole came 5th and Hazel came 3rd.

Congratulations to both of them!

In drama we have been working on battle sequences.

We have been working in pairs and small groups. We have to think about our reaction towards our partner’s action. This was hard at first but soon we were pros! Just like in the films!

Have a look at this video to see us fighting (miming of course!) each other with weapons from the time.

This is a video of the final battle. Two pairs worked together to form a group of four. When every group was fighting at the same time it looked like a real battle.
